It uses a USB 2.0 interface and includes th USB cable. This scanner is not known for it's speed of scans but the options to scan directly to other locations may well compensate for the lack of speed.

This petite desktop scanner will enable you to scan anything from business cards to documents. The software which is included (NeatWorks) acts as a virtual file clerk and identifies and extracts the information from scans and organizes it all for you. The NeatReceipts accepts up to a maximum width of 8.5 inches and 11 inches long. The ADF has a maximum capacity of 50 sheets. The scan resolution is 600 dpi optical.

3. Canon imageFORMULA DR-C125-Document Scanner

Canon has their own entry in the desktop scanning field and their scanner can be used to scan any type of document. It includes the following software: Canon CaptureOnTouch, Nuance eCopy PDF Pro Office, Nuance PaperPort, Nuance OmniPage, NewSoft Presto! BizCard 5, NewSoft! PageManager 9 and Evernote. The DR-C125 has a small footprint, measuring in at 11.8 by 6.1 inches (WD). This desktop scanner doesn't need any extra room for an output tray. It has a 30 sheet ADF. The DR-C125 can scan very quickly even when scanning to a searchable document format.

4. Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 Sheetfed Document Scanner

The S1500 from Fujitsu can be used to scan any size of document up to a maximum of 34 inches long. The ADF has a maximum capacity of 50 sheets of 20lb paper and can handle duples scanning in one pass. You can also sync your scanned documents to iPad/iPhone and Android™ devices. You can also link to Dropbox and more directly from the software of the S1500. It is also possible to link from a cloud application or open software with the ScanSnap Folder provided the application supports PDF and JPEG files. The ScanSnap S1500 includes Adobe® Acrobat® X Standard, CardMinder™ (Win) & Cardiris™ (Mac). The S1500 can automatically recognize the size of the sheets being scanned and if the pages you want to scan are a bit small or in rough shape you can use the included carrier sheet to make scanning it easier.
